y father, Roger DUTIL, and his brother Arthur DUTIL, were working for a construction company when the United Nations announced that they needed participants for the war. They both decided to join the army.
P
rivate Roger DUTIL arrived in Pusan, Korea in the spring of 1951. He was part of the Royal 22nd regiment and served as a transport trucker delivering much needed water to the troops.
H
is service ended after seven months when he was wounded in a mortar barrage by the Chinese army. He received a medical discharge for the loss of his right eye and wounds to his shoulder and left eye.

oday, Roger DUTIL attends the annual veterans parades in Stanstead, Quebec and he is also part of KVA Unit 32.
